Abena B. Brigidi(Mrs.) is a Founding Partner and the Chief Executive Officer of Nimed Capital Limited; a leading investment banking firm in Accra.
Licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission as well as the National Pensions Regulatory Authority as investment advisors and pension fund managers, Nimed Capital has expertise in the areas of corporate finance, funds and investment management as well as investment research and provision of market data.
She is a certified Financial Analyst and a thoroughly bred banker with over a decade of experience in the industry. Abena strongly opines that core attributes of teamwork, tolerance and trust are critical for leaders in translating vision and strategy into actionable plans for organizational growth. Her thought leadership acumen and strategic approach to business makes her outstanding in her field. Abena has had a stint with as a Graduate Trainee at the investment banking division of Halifax PLC; a bank operating in the United Kingdom as a trading division Bank of Scotland, itself a wholly owned subsidiary of Lloyds Banking Group. Halifax is UK’s largest provider of residential mortgages and savings accounts.
She joined Zenith Bank Ghana as a Customer Service Advisor in May 2005. And, after five years of experience as a Relationship Manager and Head of Customer Service at Zenith Bank, Abena left to join All-Time Capital, an investment banking firm in Accra as Vice President for Sales and Marketing with responsibility over marketing and new product development, where she spent another two years. As is her usual hallmark, at All-Time Capital, Abena successfully built a private and corporate wealth portfolio with her core value being client satisfaction. Her final stint as an employee was at Kariela Oil and Gas Ghana between January 2010 and August 2014, where she spent four years in the position of Chief Financial Officer before cofounding Nimed Capital.
Abena Brigidi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities from the premier university of Ghana as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in General Management from the university of East London. She is also a product of the Achimota School and Aburi Girls Senior High School. She worships with the Restoration Centre of the Assemblies of God Church in Roman Ridge, Accra.
Abena is happily married to Legal Practitioner, David Cobbina Brigidi and they are blessed with twins: Nimi and Edesemi Brigidi.
